Another term for the warehouse receiving area or process.

“Goods-In” refers to the zone or workflow where incoming inventory is first processed. It’s where deliveries arrive, are checked, and prepped for putaway. The area is often equipped with scanners, workstations, and pallet jacks to efficiently sort and log products. For example, once a delivery truck arrives, goods are offloaded into the Goods-In bay before being sorted and scanned into the WMS.
